The Concept of Happiness and Its Difference from Winning

Happiness is an internal state, often accompanied by peace, contentment, and mental balance. On the other hand, winning is usually an external achievement, tied to success in competitions or achieving a particular goal. While winning can bring moments of joy and triumph, happiness is a lasting state that emerges from self-awareness, gratitude, and living in alignment with personal values. Happiness is a continuous journey, whereas winning is often a momentary success that fades with time.

Lifestyle Changes and the Pursuit of Success

Some time ago, I realized that my unhealthy lifestyle was holding me back from achieving success and diminishing my daily energy levels. As a result, I made the decision to make significant changes. I eliminated smoking, alcohol, artificial sugars, and fried foods from my diet. I also discovered that six and a half hours of quality sleep was sufficient for me, and I began drinking more water and incorporating exercise into my daily routine. Initially, making these changes seemed impossible, especially considering the numerous professional challenges I was facing. However, I pushed through.

I’ve learned through experience that I tend to succeed more when I take on a comprehensive, challenging plan rather than trying to improve just one small part of my day. Despite the difficult tasks ahead, I started implementing these changes. Although it was still very tough to maintain all of them at once, I occasionally faced temptations, like rewarding myself with ice cream after avoiding smoking and alcohol for a day. When I noticed this tendency, I decided to go a step further and introduced a restrictive diet as well. Additionally, I had a hard time waking up in the morning and didn’t enjoy exercising, so I enrolled in an online Pilates class that starts at 6:30 AM. This not only helps me wake up on time but also clears my mind and gets me energized for the day.

To keep going on this journey, I’ve realized that I need to see the flow and effort of life as something alive within myself and my lifestyle. Only by embracing the struggles and challenges can I truly enjoy the process and keep moving forward.

One sentence should be etched in all our minds: “A good day tomorrow starts with a good night’s sleep.”

I also plan to write about the changes I’ve experienced in my life through this new lifestyle. These articles will be distinguishable from the rest of my writings under a specific title.
